The best green kitchen cabinet paint colors for the hottest bold kitchen color trend.
If you’ve been following my Instagram Stories, you probably already knew this post was coming. Last week Robert said, “Hey — let’s do a quick kitchen makeover.” He knows my love language: makeover. I’ve been itching to work some real magic in our kitchen for a long time.
Here’s what the kitchen looked like the day we moved in last year.

We made a few temporary updates — for example, adding a pressed tin tile backsplash to hide tile that wasn’t our style. Down the road we have bigger plans for this space, including removing a wall to open things up. For now, though, we wanted a small, impactful change: paint.

The existing granite countertop is gray with a slight green tint, so I realized that bold green cabinets would actually pair beautifully. Green kitchen cabinets are one of the biggest trends right now, and I’m definitely on board. We’re in the middle of painting the lower cabinets a deep green to create contrast and tie this kitchen to the rest of our high-contrast rooms.
To find the right green for our space, I gathered some of my favorite green kitchens and tracked down the paint names. If you’re considering green cabinets too, here’s a curated list of standout green kitchen cabinet paint colors to inspire your own project.
