Merry Christmas, everyone! It’s that special time of year when I step away to spend long, quiet hours with family and friends through the holiday season and into the New Year.
Before I sign off, I want to share how grateful I am for each of you who have followed along on our small DIY and decorating adventures this year. Your support and kind words mean the world and have made this creative journey truly rewarding.
One of my favorite moments at Christmas is the hush of late evening: the house settled, the tree and candles glowing, and the quiet that invites slow reflection. Tonight I wandered from room to room with my camera, trying to capture a little of that gentle magic.

I won’t say much in this post because there’s something special about letting the lights speak for themselves. If I could, I’d play a gentle rendition of “Silent Night” as you browse, and hand you a warm mug of cocoa to hold while you enjoy the glow.
There’s a simple comfort in a home lit by candlelight and the soft sparkle of a tree. Small details—a garland on the mantel, a cluster of lanterns by the hearth, votives scattered on a dining table—come alive at night. These quieter moments reveal a home’s warmth more than any daylight shot can.
As you look through these photos, notice the way shadows fall and how reflections multiply the glow: mirrors that double the light, glass ornaments that catch and fragment it, and textured fabrics that seem richer in this softer illumination. Those are the little things I love to pause and admire when the rest of the world is still.
