Bless’er House Paint Collection Launch: Rec Room Makeover

Bless’er House Paint Color Collection: Introducing “Feather” with Romabio

I never expected to write this, but here it is: Bless’er House is launching a curated paint color collection.

Over the years, Robert and I have refreshed our home in small and meaningful ways — limewashing fireplaces and exterior brick — and we’ve come to love mineral-based finishes. Romabio’s Classico Limewash has been a favorite, and partnering with Romabio to create a Bless’er House Color Collection is a real honor.

We used the first color from the Bless’er House Color Collection for Romabio in a recent rec room makeover for the Carney family, and the change is remarkable.

Remember the before?

It’s hard to believe this is the same room.

On the walls we used Romabio Low Lustre Interior in Feather — a timeless neutral with a soft gray undertone. Feather works beautifully with both warm and cool accents, creating a calm, sophisticated backdrop that lets other elements in the room take center stage.

I wanted a neutral that adapts well in different lighting and with varied furnishings. Feather is forgiving while still offering depth. Paired with a bold accent color, it frames that accent without competing for attention.

When I named this shade, I chose something deeply personal to both of us:

  1. Robert and I have always loved birds, and our wedding even featured a subtle bird motif — Feather is a gentle nod to that memory.
  2. The name also references one of my favorite verses: “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.” (Psalm 91:4).

Romabio’s mineral-based paints bring an unmistakable depth to each color. The Low Lustre Interior finish is hypoallergenic, virtually odorless, and produces a soft, luminous result. These interior paints balance health-conscious formulation with durability, making them a great choice for family spaces.

We’re confident these walls will hold up to everyday life. One of the most meaningful benefits — especially for expectant moms, families with young children, or anyone with asthma or chemical sensitivities — is the lack of strong odor. That’s not just marketing: Romabio’s mineral approach avoids many harsh chemicals found in conventional paints. The result is a healthy-feeling finish without compromising on appearance.

For the trim in this project we chose Romabio Interior Satin in Galleria White. Cabinets were painted with Benjamin Moore Newburg Green because we needed a product specifically formulated for cabinetry. Together, these choices create a cohesive palette: Feather on the walls, crisp white trim, and rich green cabinets for contrast and character.

I’m itching to bring in furniture and finish styling this rec room. The transformation so far speaks for itself — warm, layered, and livable. What do you think of the progress? It’s come a long way.

If you’d like to use Feather or explore Romabio’s Interior Paint colors in your home, you can find the full selection and purchase options through Romabio’s official channels. We’ll be adding more colors to the Bless’er House collection soon — stay tuned for additional shades designed to be versatile, healthy, and beautiful.
