A free downloadable printable set of vintage arbor art — perfect for summer wall decor or year-round display.
True story: one of the biggest reasons we fell in love with our current home was the trees. When you move from a neighborhood where yards have been flattened and landscaped with only a single crepe myrtle, you don’t realize how much you miss mature shade and character until you have it again.
In our new (old) neighborhood we’re surrounded by giant oaks with tire swings, towering magnolias that explode into bloom in late spring and summer, and maples that blaze with color in the fall. Having these trees back has turned me into a full-on tree hugger — I’ll admit it, I’ll hug a tree with no shame.

To celebrate that love of trees, I created a set of vintage-style arbor prints for our kitchen coffee bar wall. The collection is simple, black-and-white, and symmetrical so it adds visual interest without feeling cluttered — the perfect balance for a small gallery wall above a plate rack.

I joined my friend Krista for The Happy Housie’s Seasonal Simplicity Summer Printable Tour and created these four arbor prints inspired by trees we commonly see in the Carolinas. They’re designed to work year-round — I might swap in holiday-themed tree prints for December, but these have the versatility to stay up through every season if you prefer.

I used simple 20×20 frames and printed the art on ledger paper to fit the mats. The frames were affordable and clean-lined, and printing at a local print shop kept the cost down while giving the prints a crisp, gallery-ready look.

For this project I used four 20×20 frames and printed the images at a print shop on ledger-size paper so the art fits neatly inside the mat. You can scale the prints up to 20″×20″ on engineer print paper if you want a larger, more graphic statement, or print to any square size that fits your frames.
You can download the arbor art printable set from the Bless’er House Printable Library — the printable is available to subscribers and includes the files sized to fit common square mats and frames.

Print Directions
- Download the arbor print files from the Bless’er House Printable Library (password emailed to subscribers).
- Choose a local print shop or online print service that accepts uploaded image files.
- Upload the images and select a ledger size (11″×17″) if you plan to use mats sized for 11″×11″ art, or select the larger 20″×20″ option if you want engineer-print scale.
- If ordering from a print shop that scales files automatically, include a note requesting “do not scale to fit” so the image stays at the intended square dimensions.
- Pick your paper type — ledger paper gives a crisp look inside mats, while engineer prints produce a bold, budget-friendly large-scale option.
You can adapt these prints to any square frame size. I chose 20×20 frames with mats to keep the pieces balanced above the coffee bar, but they’ll look great in smaller or larger squares too.
