Pregnancy Announcement and Our Next Big DIY: A Nursery Makeover

With the playroom makeover wrapping up in the next week or two, we wanted to share the big news and reveal our plans for the next major DIY project. It’s a huge one for our family—and we couldn’t wait to tell you.

We are thrilled to announce that Robert, Olivia, and I are expecting a new baby this fall. This has been a long-awaited moment for our family, and everyone’s excitement is off the charts. We’ve been keeping this news close for a while, but we’re finally ready to share it with you.

Naturally, that means a nursery makeover is next on our DIY agenda. We’re already dreaming up layouts, storage solutions, and calming color palettes that will make the new room both functional and beautiful.

But before the nursery is finished, our older daughter will get a room refresh of her own. We believe in fairness between siblings, so while the baby’s space will be a priority, we also want our eldest to have a special corner she can call her own. Expect cozy hideouts, creative storage, and a few playful touches to make her room feel like a true big-sister retreat.

If things seem a little quieter around here on the blog or on our social channels over the next few months, it’s because I’m trying to catch naps while I still can. Early pregnancy has a way of slowing you down, and we’re taking that slow-down as an opportunity to plan thoughtfully, organize materials, and tie up current projects before the new baby arrives.
