A curated selection of beautiful marble coffee tables for every budget, plus our best Facebook Marketplace find yet.
This discovery might be one for the record books. Over the years I’ve found many gems on Facebook Marketplace, but the latest additions to our living room—two tables—may have just taken the top spot.
After recently cleaning wood furniture I picked up for Regan’s room—a dresser and nightstand from Marketplace—I caught the thrill of the hunt again. This time I landed a marble coffee table in nearly mint condition: the wood grain, the marble veining—it’s a showstopper.

How to Find the Best Facebook Marketplace Deals
Finding great Marketplace deals does take a bit of strategy—search habits, timing, and being ready to act. Robert and I drove about two hours to pick up this piece, and it was absolutely worth the drive. Fun fact: this marble coffee table was made in 1960, the same year our house was built, which made it feel like a perfect match.

How to Clean a Marble Coffee Table Top
This time I didn’t document every step, and the cleaning wasn’t as extensive as previous restorations, but simple household solutions work very well. Applying baking soda to lift stains, followed by hydrogen peroxide where needed (applied separately and rinsed carefully), can dramatically improve marble’s appearance. For a deeper clean or stain removal, follow tested marble-cleaning methods—gentle, non-acidic cleaners and spot treatments preserve the stone.
You can find a full, step-by-step marble tabletop cleaning guide in my other project for reference.

How to Get Smoke Smell Out of Wood Furniture
This marble-topped table had a cigarette smoke odor embedded in the wood when we brought it home. I used Murphy Oil Soap—mixing 1/4 cup of Murphy Oil Soap with a gallon of warm water—and wiped down the wooden base. The soapy solution neutralized the smoke smell almost immediately and left the wood looking refreshed.
If you’re cleaning and polishing wood furniture, a gentle oil-based soap like Murphy can be very effective for odors and surface grime. Follow up with appropriate wood polish if you want extra shine and protection.

After cleaning, the table looked practically brand new—glossy and beautifully preserved.

A few days earlier I also found a gorgeous mahogany nesting table on Marketplace. Traditional wood furniture is having a moment in our home, and these pieces are steering our colonial interior in a slightly more classic direction—exactly what this house needed.

Marble Coffee Table Round-Up
If you love the look of a marble top but don’t have luck finding one on Marketplace, I’ve gathered several favorites across price points—from budget-friendly options to splurge-worthy pieces. Marble adds timeless elegance and pairs wonderfully with both traditional and modern decor, so whether you choose a vintage find or a new statement table, it’s a high-impact choice for a living room.

With these two well-chosen and carefully cleaned tables in place, the living room finally feels like it’s moving toward the classic, refined look I’ve been envisioning. Small seasonal touches also help—there are definite signs of spring around the room.
