En Suite Bathroom Remodel: New Faucets Installed

The choices we made for our classic en suite bathroom for designer dupe light fixtures, sink faucets, vintage style toilet, and shower faucets.

I’m calling this space the en suite bathroom because it feels a bit more elevated than just “bathroom.” It has a classic, slightly glamorous vibe that we’re leaning into with finishes and fixtures that blend old and new.

Progress on the remodel has been steady, and the fixtures have officially arrived. Seeing the sconces, faucets, and shower fittings installed against the scalloped marble backsplash finally makes everything read as a cohesive design.

Our En Suite Bathroom Remodel Projects

  • Water damage remediation and demolition
  • Selecting the overall bathroom design and style direction
  • Incorporating modern-classic bathroom ideas for long-lasting appeal
  • Finalizing our classic bathroom design plan
  • Choosing a wood vanity that balances budget and quality
  • Installing a scalloped marble backsplash as the focal detail

Light Fixtures

For the sconces, I chose a budget-friendly designer dupe that gives a clean, elegant look without the high price tag. We’ll be installing individual mirrors between the sconces so each sink has balanced, flattering light.

From experience, I prefer sconces on either side of the mirror rather than a single light above. Side lighting reduces harsh shadows on the face, which is much more useful for applying makeup and for everyday grooming. The side placement creates softer, more even illumination, which is a simple upgrade that has a big impact on function.

Sink Faucets

We chose modern Champagne Bronze wall-mount faucets to pair with the scalloped marble backsplash. The backsplash has a soft, feminine detail, so I wanted faucets that read as more streamlined and contemporary to create visual contrast.

Champagne Bronze strikes the right balance: it has warmth and a subtle metallic glow without the yellow tones of traditional brass. That slightly muted finish complements the marble and wood elements and helps the fixtures feel intentional rather than flashy.

Wooden Toilet Seat Lid

The room’s layout is a bit awkward to photograph, so some shots required squeezing into corners. For the toilet, we selected a self-cleaning model we’ve used before because of the convenience and consistent performance.

To refine the look, we added a wood toilet seat and a matching champagne bronze flush lever. Those small touches elevate the toilet from purely functional to an integrated part of the overall aesthetic. Little details like this contribute a surprising amount to the finished space—consider them tiny design investments that pay off visually.

Shower Faucets

We’re still waiting on a glass shower door, which has been delayed by supply issues, but the shower plumbing is in place and the faucets are installed. The marble-look porcelain tile and built-in niches are already making the shower feel luxe.

We installed a slide bar with a hand shower to make cleaning the tile and rinsing the shower easier. A hand shower is one of those practical features that quickly becomes indispensable—especially for maintenance and for rinsing kids or pets.

We’re estimating the finish line is about two to three weeks away. With a few final hardware touches and the glass door installed, the room will be ready for the last styling steps.

Timing matters because we’ll have guests for Thanksgiving and currently only one full working shower. Fingers crossed the remaining pieces arrive and are installed before then so we can host comfortably.

After the contractors wrap up, Robert and I will add a few finishing details: simple moulding, smart small-storage solutions, and carefully chosen decor pieces to complete the look. The goal is a polished, functional en suite that feels both classic and comfortably modern.

We’re so close—can’t wait to share the full reveal once every last detail is in place.
